What kind of objects can I sell at an auction?
Most objects are auctionable ; Luis C. Morton has a variety of specialized deparments: antiques, modern and contemporary art, jewelry, watches, old and contemporary books and documents, decorative art (from a simple vase to a complete household), and automobiles and trucks.
We do not handle large or small home appliances. Due to their value, they are not auction suitable. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this point.

What steps do I follow to sell my property at Luis C. Morton?
Follow these easy steps:
1.- Call for an appointment, send an E-mail or fax a photo and description of the object you wish to have appraised. Our specialists will be happy to give you a market price appraisal at no cost.
2.- Sign a contract. A commission, depending on the value of your object plus an insurance and handling cost will be charged to you. These low-priced commissions are to your convenience as they not only protect your object but expose it to a great number of potential buyers.
3.- The object is picked up.
4.- Once the auction takes place and the object is paid for by the buyer, you will be paid by check, or, electronic bank deposit.
What happens if my object goes unsold?
You can take it back, or, submit it to another auction, but, with a price adjustment, if you agree.
What is the difference between entrust and submit for loan?
Entrust means you receive no money for your objects until it is bought at an auction.Submit for loan means you receive an immediate cash loan on your object, which is your loan guarantee. Recuperation and auction are options.
How do I get my things to the Auction House?
Bring them yourself; or, for the Mexico City area there is transport service at an additional cost.
If you live outside the Mexico City Metropolitan area, or outside the Mexican Republic, you are required to hire independent transport service. We can supply information if you so require.
